Conducting is one of my true passions in life.  I believe that conducting lets me express outwardly what type of musician I am.

I was talking with a friend recently describing what it’s like to be on the podium directing a group of musicians, and related the experience much to driving a car.  As a conductor, you’re in the driver’s seat of a finely tuned automobile.  The conductor has the ability to control the speed, direction, and duration by which the music is played.  However, one word of advice that I live by is that the baton does not make the music, the musicians do!

In my conducting career, I’ve led groups such as the George Mason University Wind Symphony and Orchestra, the George Washington University Symphonic Band, the Bishop Ireton Winds, the Loudon Symphonic Winds, various professional chamber ensembles, and the Capitol Pride Symphonic Band in Washington, D.C.

If you’re interested in any of my artistic direction or conducting services, please contact me here.

The real art of conducting consists in transitions.
