Do you know what a euphonium is?  Well you’re about to find out.

Upon hearing the first couple of notes as a young elementary student, I was immediately drawn to the instrument.  The euphonium has a sound unlike any other instrument in the brass family.  Many people say that the sound of an instrument is a mirror reflection of his or her personality.

For the last 23 years, the euphonium has provided me with some amazing opportunities.  At 16, I got the chance to solo with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.  It was a performance I’ll never forget!!  I’ve also soloed with numerous community bands like the Northshore Concert Band, Wheaton Municipal Band as well as the Dallas Wind Symphony and University of Texas Symphonic Band.

Playing in tuba quartets, chamber ensembles, and community bands are activities that I enjoy, both as a professional musician and in my spare time.  As part of a relatively small cadre of euphonium players, I feel a responsibility to commission new works and perform in solo recitals to help educate the public and budding musicians about the instrument.

I also provide group or individual instruction for brass instruments, especially euphonium, tuba, and trombone.  Please contact me here for more information.
